Cantina La Giara was founded in 1958 in the Marmilla region, at the foot of the plateau that shares its name. It was established through the initiative of a group of visionary winegrowers determined to promote their local terroir and elevate the profile of the tireless work carried out among their vines.

The cultivation area is breathtakingly diverse, stretching from the basalt escarpments of the Giara to the granite debris and ancient fossils on the slopes of Monte Arci, and from the cool sands of Arcidano to the undulating, marly hills of Marmilla itself. Today, the estate manages 50 hectares of vineyards, yielding an annual production of approximately 100,000 bottles. By savouring a glass of La Giara wine, one can trace the rich history of these lands and fully experience their distinctly Sardinian aromas.
