Founded in 1956, Cantina del Vermentino takes its name from the most noble grape variety cultivated in Gallura.
Today, the cooperative comprises 350 members who own and manage vineyards located exclusively within the Olbia and Monti area – a small town nestled between lower Gallura and Logudoro, in the immediate hinterland of the Costa Smeralda.

In strict compliance with the production regulations that elevated Vermentino di Gallura to coveted DOCG status in 1996, the Monti vineyards are planted on decomposed granite soils at altitudes below 450 metres above sea level.
The growers employ traditional planting densities, vine-training methods, and pruning systems, ensuring that the intrinsic character of both grape and wine remains wholly unadulterated.
