Cantine Locci Zuddas began operations in 1950 and has been producing wine uninterrupted ever since. It remains a family-run enterprise, where the founder’s sons, Matteo and Tomaso, have recently breathed new life into their bottled wine market.
The winery sources its grapes from the family’s own agricultural estate, Azienda Agricola Locci Zuddas, which spans approximately 35 hectares dedicated to Sardinia’s principal native varieties. Total production stands at roughly 12,000 quintals.
The vineyards are situated in southern Sardinia, specifically in the lower Campidano area near Cagliari in the municipality of Ussana. Planted on clay-sandy soils, the vines are cooled by sea breezes from the coast just a few kilometres away. To supplement its own harvest, the estate also carefully selects and purchases premium grapes from trusted private growers.
